Now I am thinking of wiping the SSD and migrating the system from my Macbook Air which has had no such problems. ![]() I did restore my old system from my Time Machine backup. So I am back to trying to figure out what is going on with this machine. It was Crucial and it wouldn’t pop out so I had to use pliers and one of the transistors on each module was crunched in the process. Not only have I apparently destroyed a perfectly good hard drive but I also destroyed the added 8 gb memory I put in last year trying to remove it to see if that was the problem. Sadly, while my iMac 2010 27" runs like lightning, it still crashes on Safari and I had another panic failure. and running multiple hardware tests reporting errors, I replaced my old hard drive with an SSD as it seemed to be the culprit. After much troubleshooting after months of random and increasing application crashes, panic failure, frozen screens, etc. ![]()
